Keynote…More Than Music + Mission

God has been opening exciting new doors of ministry for Keynote, and there’s a lot of change going on right now as a result – for both Keynote and me.

Keynote is no longer just music and the performing arts.

Last summer we produced a short pre-evangelistic film, which we hope will be the first of many. The training side of our ministry began as a way to teach our staff how to communicate the gospel through music. It has gradually taken on a life of its own, as we’ve taught our Summer Project students and Campus Crusade for Christ music staff from other countries. And with the explosion of internet use among students, we will soon see over half of Keynote’s ministry taking place on the web in some form.

As Keynote is continuing to expand, my role is becoming more specialized. I’ve left Human Resources to join the Keynote Creative Communications Group as Training Development Coordinator. What does that mean?

First of all, my subject matter is narrower. The personal and spiritual development of our staff will continue to be handled by Human Resources, freeing me up to concentrate on communication training. I’ll continue to write and edit communication classes, train and evaluate teachers and coaches, and more.

At the same time, my target audience is broader. Before, my focus was on performing artists involved in Keynote and our international partner ministries. Now our trainees will include staff and students in other Campus Crusade ministries and even other mission organizations.

Please pray for me – and all of us in Keynote – to have sensitive, teachable hearts as we follow God’s lead!
