Maximizing a Proven Resource

Recently, some of my teammates had the opportunity to do some research for one of Cru’s evangelistic websites, EveryStudent.com. This site was developed years ago as a place for students to explore questions about life and God. It is now available in 40 languages and is viewed by people around the globe.

During the 2019-20 school year alone, the content on the site was viewed 67,902,298 times and 926,750 people gave their lives to Jesus! Many of these new believers are from countries that are closed to traditional missions.

EveryStudent.com siteThe majority of visitors to EveryStudent.com are from outside the U.S., so Cru is seeking ways to engage more American students with the site. That’s what my teammates were asked to research. Now some of them are joining a group of Cru staff members from other departments to look at the results. Together they will consider possible ways to maximize the impact of this tool.

A few of those ideas will be field-tested in the coming months. Then the information gathered by the field tests will be evaluated, and this will likely lead to another cycle of ideas and field tests and evaluations. This is the normal process of innovation, whether you are designing a new resource or updating a current one for greater impact.

While the limitations we experience because of COVID-19 are challenging, the desire to connect people to Jesus is alive and well. Online tools like EveryStudent.com are more useful than ever during this season.

Please Pray…

  • For those who give their lives to Jesus through EveryStudent.com to grow and be firmly established in their new faith.
  • For wisdom for those who are working on new ways to maximize the use of EveryStudent.com within the U.S.
  • For God to open new doors for ministry and show us creative ways to engage with people during this challenging season of COVID-19.

Thank you for praying!
