As part of the Campus Ministry, my team’s schedule follows the rhythms of the school and college year. Typically, the four of us on the Indy Innovation Team head off in different directions for our summer assignments. Kyle and his wife Rachael are leading a small team of students ministering in Belgium; Amy is at the Ops Summer Mission at Cru’s headquarters, and our team leader Renae is holding down the fort at our Indy office. I have two trips coming up in the next two months, and I would love your prayer support for them!
Orlando in June
June 2 and 3: I’ll drive to Orlando
June 4 and 5: I’ll lead a Bible study (the one I wrote last year) for the four college students who are interning with Innovation for the summer at Cru’s international headquarters. A couple of our Innovation staff members will also attend.
June 6 through 25: I will once again be a small group coach for Cru’s Bible Study Methods course. I will also teach one of the 10 lectures. This is one of several graduate-level Bible courses that all staff members with Cru are required to take so they will be equipped to teach others. Most of the learning happens in the daily coaching groups of 7-10 people. These are interactive workshops where the participants will practice the Bible study skills together. An added perk is that all of this will take place on the beautiful campus of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, near Orlando.
June 26-27: Drive home to Indy.
Milwaukee in July
July 9-18: For the first time since 2022, all staff members from every Cru ministry in the U.S. will gather in Milwaukee for encouragement, inspiration, worship, and Bible teaching. We’ll hear from the leaders of our ministries across the U.S. and also hear updates from our international ministries. These all-staff conferences are designed to connect us with God, with one another, and with our common vision for our common mission in Him.
