Equipping Campus Teams for Creativity

Thank you for praying for the Curiosity and Collaboration workshops I told you about in my last letter! We’ve been receiving good feedback on them and on all of our training sessions.

Our workshops share the same techniques our Campus Innovation team uses when we develop new ministry resources, modified to better suit the needs of local campus staff teams. Here are the ones we offer so far, along with comments from participants:

A Step Back: Identifying areas to innovate
“Slowing down to consider making changes is sometimes difficult to do. …This workshop breaks it down simply, making the overall idea approachable and easier to incorporate into daily and/or weekly rhythms of life and ministry.”

Curiosity & Collaboration: Seeking understanding within your team
“It was really helpful to have this workshop as we’re forming a new team. It’s helping us establish the foundations of a healthy team culture.”

Empathy & Inquiry: Seeking to understand your ministry audience
“Great overview of empathy and helping ask good questions! The activity was creative and freed me up to practice the empathy process without hardly realizing I was doing it.”

Better Brainstorming: How to come up with ideas as a team
“This was a great exercise to help create the safest and most creative brainstorming environment I’ve experienced.”

Build to Learn: How to flesh out ideas
“Our field ministry is so new, we need to be building to learn– because it’s the learnings that will really last!”

Each workshop is highly interactive and includes group discussion and exercises to practice the techniques we teach. We are continuing to develop new topics and improve our current sessions.

Of course, our Innovation team still develops and tests new resources for use on campus. I’ll tell you more about the progress of our newest Bible studies in my next letter!

Please Pray…
    • for more opportunities to serve local campus teams through Innovation workshops
    • for our Innovation team as we develop more workshops to equip campus staff teams in creativity

Thank you for praying!
