Summer Answers to Your Prayers

Thank you so much for your prayers for my time in Florida at the Institute of Biblical Studies (IBS)! I coached a small group of new Cru staff members in Bible Study Methods (BSM) and assisted with grading for a couple of other courses. Here’s how God answered your prayers.

Request #1: BSM Teaching

I taught the first lecture of the course, which was on the importance of context in studying scripture. It went well, so thanks for praying!

Request #2: BSM Coaching

The 10 new staff I coached for daily 90-minute workshops were enthusiastic and teachable! I was encouraged by their deep commitment to Christ and His mission. One of them gave me this comment:

“Thank you for leading us well throughout the course — keeping us rooted in prayer and God’s Word, pointing us in the right direction without just giving us the answers. You equipped us so well to study Scripture, consider how it impacts us and those around us, and formulate action steps to apply it to our lives.”

Request #3: Grading

I graded papers for two other IBS courses, Intro to Christian Theology and God, Bible, Holy Spirit. It took more work than I expected, and to be honest, the perfectionist in me felt stressed at times over it! But I trust that God answered your prayers for wisdom and that my comments were helpful to the students. :)

Request #4: Stamina

My allergies weren’t as bad as in Indiana so I slept better, and that gave me the energy I needed. :)

Thank you so much for praying! Your partnership helped the Cru missionaries in these courses become better equipped to introduce people to Jesus and help them grow in relationship with Him!
