Institute of Biblical Studies, Daytona Beach, FL, Jan. 11-28
Every January and June, I take two and a half weeks to work with Cru’s theological development department to teach Bible Study Methods to new staff members. Every Cru staff member must complete a number of courses during their first few years with us. This is so they will be qualified to minister spiritually to others whether they serve on the field or behind the scenes. I’ll teach one of the lectures and coach one of the small groups, where the students get hands-on practice in the skills they are learning.
Pray that the students would not only learn new skills but increase their hunger for God’s word.
Northeast Winter Conference, New Haven, CT, Jan. 31-Feb. 2
Another annual event for me is a Winter Conference, but this year instead of going to the one in Indianapolis, I’ll attend the one near Yale. A teammate and I will represent Campus Innovation as we recruit field testers for the three new group Bible studies our team has developed.
Pray that we will find staff and students who will try our studies and give us constructive feedback.
