Launch, Lunch, & Learning

Variety is one of the things I love about my job! It’s normal for me to be working on several projects at once, sometimes on my own and sometimes with my teammates in Campus Innovation. Here are three of the projects I’ve been working on this semester.

Launch

Cru is focusing special attention on starting new movements this fall through a campaign called “Out to Launch.” Ministry teams will spend one week of concentrated effort on a new campus or a new area of a current campus. They will share the gospel with non-believers and seek out Christian students who could be ministry leaders. We proposed reworking an old Winter Conference seminar that helped students prepare for evangelism through listening prayer and brainstorming. We got the green light, so I revised the original material to make it a planning tool for launch teams.

Lunch

Every Wednesday over lunch, we are running our Snake Crusher Bible discussion series with the Generation Z staff in our office. The discussion has been lively as they discover truths from scriptures together! These twenty-somethings are in the same generation as college students, so their feedback on the series is valuable during this final testing phase. We started work on Snake Crusher in August of 2022, and we have tested and revised it several times. It will be ready for release early in 2027.

Learning

Every other week, I co-lead an online training session for a small group of innovators from across the U.S. These staff members work with Bridges International, a Cru ministry to international students, and they are learning skills in brainstorming, designing, prototyping, and more. All of these will help them as they develop new ways to connect international students with Jesus.

Thank you so much for your partnership in my ministry! Together with you and all my other ministry partners who give and pray for me, I am able to equip messengers for God’s mission!

Please Pray…

  • for all of the teams launching new campus movements this fall
  • for helpful feedback in the final testing phase of Snake Crusher
  • for the Bridges training sessions to be helpful and fruitful

Thank you for praying!
